How to enable file and print sharing in windows xp 

1. Click start
2. Then up to control panel
3. Double click network connections
4. Right click on your local network connection and choose properties
5. Down the bottom there should be file and printer sharing for Microsoft networks
6. Put a tick in the box 

Now as long as you’ve shared a printer or folder people on the same workgroup should be able to connect to you.
