To change screen resolution in windows xp simple;

 

  1. Right click in a blank space on the desktop and choose properties
  2. Go to settings
  3. Down towards the bottom left you see screen resolution slide it to where you want it
  4. Click apply
  5. When its on the desired resolution click on.

    1. Firstly click start then run (search Box in vista) type cmd
    2. You will have a black window (command Prompt) come up
    3. Type - ipconfig /all.
    4. you will have all kinds of info come up but the one your after is ipaddress (ipv4 address in Vista).
    5. Also default gateway is worth knowing this is the ip address of your router, handy to know if you need to configure it i.e firewall settings, connection settings ECT
